Volunteer Opportunities at JCC East Bay

The JCC East Bay is always looking for eager, smiling volunteers. If you’re looking for a way to get involved with all the great programming taking place at the JCC, volunteering is a great way to do so!

Ushers
The JCCEB hosts an amazing repertoire of musicians, performers and speakers every month. By participating as a volunteer usher, not only do you get to attend our events for free, but you get to meet a wide variety of people! Ushers direct patrons, take tickets, hand out programs and sell concessions and merchandise.

Challah Sales
Challah sales are a great way to bring a bit of Shabbat into the lives of our members. Challah sales take place every Friday and we need volunteers to help sell. All proceeds go to support programs here at the JCC.

Senior Kosher Lunch Servers
Our Senior Kosher Lunch program is the only one of its kind on this side of the East Bay. It provides a service to well-deserving seniors by giving them a hot and healthy meal. By volunteering you benefit by helping us greet, serve and socialize with our Older Adult patrons. Kosher lunch is served every Monday and Wednesday.

Office Support
Our administration staff needs you! You can help by assisting in a variety of administrative functions. Filing, copying, stuffing envelopes and data entry are just some of the ways you can keep our offices running smoothly.

Greeters
We need smiling faces! If you’ve ever been described as a ‘people person’, then you’re the just the right fit for our front desk. As a greeter you will help be a welcoming face for patrons as they come in our front door. Our front desk is open from 8:30am to 7:30pm.  Help direct    patrons to classrooms, answer general questions and be one of our important smiling faces.

Fix It Crew
Are you handy with a hammer? Do you like to build and fix things? If so, you can become part of our volunteer Fix It Crew! We’ve been renovating the JCC and often need helpers with all types of improvements and construction.

As you can see, there are lots of opportunities at the JCCEB for those willing and wanting to donate their time. By participating in the inner workings of the JCCEB you help become part of our growth and success.

Come join us as we build community! As a JCCEB volunteer you’ll meet new people and make new friends, all while knowing that you’re helping to make the Jewish Community Center of the East Bay an important and integral part of people’s lives.
