SUMMARY:Applications Open: Artist-in-Residency Program
DESCRIPTION:The JCC East Bay is in its second year of a pilot artist-in-residency program on the site of the future East Bay Jewish Community Campus. By offering local Jewish artists practicing in the visual\, media\, and/or writing mediums access to a small\, centrally-located studio with good natural light\, our hope is to share the benefit and importance of the arts with our community. In exchange for space and presentation support\, we request that the artist(s) collaborate with our preschool\, afterschool\, community\, and/or staff to offer workshops\, classes\, or professional development opportunities. Please note: there is the potential of sharing the space with another artist of a different genre. \n_______________ \nHow to Apply: Submit the following materials by the December 2\, 2024 deadline. \nOne-to-two page letter of interest; please include intention and potential project that would to contribute to the JCC East Bay community \nName and contact info \nArtistic discipline \nBackground/CV \nArtist statement \nSample(s) of your work \nApplications should be submitted electronically to Sarah Wolfman-Robichaud\, Special Projects Consultant\, at sarahwr@jcceastbay.org.  \nArtists will be notified by December 20\, 2024 of their acceptance into the residency which begins January 6\, 2025. \n_______________ \nResidency Resources: \nAccess to second floor studio with WIFI \nName and contact info \nBasic furniture and storage space \nPublicity/marketing for projects developed through the JCC East Bay residency\, including Facebook\, Instagram\, and related websites (www.jcceastbay.org). \n_______________ \nSelection Process: The selection panel considers skills in the proposed project area that match the resources and space available\, an artist statement that is mission-aligned with the JCC East Bay\, and a strong contribution to the JCC East Bay community\, staff\, and/or facilities. \n_______________ \nStudio Location: The JCC East Bay artist-in-residency studio is located in the heart of the Rockridge neighborhood of Oakland on the new East Bay Jewish Community Campus.
