SUMMARY:Science Bar: Women's Health 101
DESCRIPTION:Join us for Science Bar with Dr. Neta Gotlieb!\nInspired by Israel’s culture of casual intellectualism and night life learning\, the JCC East Bay is excited to bring back Science Bar! In this series\, you have the opportunity to learn from Israeli scientific experts while enjoying delicious drinks and nosh. \nDr. Gotlieb’s talk is entitled Women’s Health 101. From puberty to menopause\, women’s bodies are constantly changing\, but there’s no emphasis on the importance of body literacy. Join us in breaking the taboos to talk about menstrual cycles and hormones across different reproductive chapters. We’ll discuss questions like: How is the brain related to menstrual cycles? Why is the menstrual cycle considered a vital sign? How can reproductive health serve as a window to overall health? \n___________________________ \nDr. Neta Gotlieb earned a Master’s Degree in Biological Psychology from Tel Aviv University and a PhD in Reproductive Neuroendocrinology from University of California Berkeley\, where she focused on the neural regulation of menstrual cycles\, pregnancy\, and birth. She has also received the Women in Tech Global Technology Leadership Award. A mother of two daughters\, Dr. Gotlieb is the author of the children’s book\, Every Body’s Brain\, and Product Manager and Clinical Research Scientist at Oura. \nScience Bar is generously sponsored by Science Abroad. \n  \nRegister here.
