ADVOCATE FOR UKRAINIAN REFUGEES
Communities around the world are wrestling with how to respond to the refugee crisis and violence caused by the conflict. This Passover story is an opportunity for us to remember Jewish experiences of being refugees fleeing terror and fear.

COMBAT HOMELESSNESS AND FOOD INSECURITY
Two of the most critical issues facing the Bay Area are homelessness and food insecurity. During the Passover seder, Jews recall our experience of wandering and being without basic needs when we were freed from slavery in Egypt. We have provided several resources for you and your family to understand and address homelessness and food insecurity.

PROTECT OUR PLANET
The climate change crisis and threats to our natural environment impact all of us. In the Bay Area, many organizations have dedicated exceptional time and resources to restoring interest in environmental justice, land preservation, and access to clean air and water. From observance of Shmita (“year of release”) to the concept of bal tashchit (“do not carelessly destroy or waste”), many aspects of Jewish tradition are rooted in respecting and tending the land we live on. This Passover, we encourage you to take action towards preserving our home, Earth.
