JCC Kids’ Club Camp offers an intimate day camp experience where campers can discover new interests, test personal limits, and most importantly, have fun.
In this exciting and safe environment, campers will make new friends and develop meaningful relationships with their counselors. We aim to give campers a sense of self, in a whole new way, as they experience a wide breadth of activities, sports, art, music, theater, science, and much more!
Stay tuned for information about Summer Camp 2024!

The JCC East Bay is committed to making the JCC Summer Camp accessible to as many families as possible. If your child(ren) needs reduced fees to attend camp, please apply for financial assistance by completing the Fillable Financial Aid Application 2023 form and sending it to CFO Adam Berke at adam.berke@jcceastbay.org. We will get back to you within one week.
This section will be updated once all financial assistance has been awarded for summer 2023.
Where is JCC Summer Camp located?
Our homebase will be at Joaquin Miller Elementary School (5525 Ascot Dr., Oakland, CA 94611).
Will transportation from Berkeley be available?
We have a van from the JCC in Berkeley to JM each day. If you would like to take the van to camp, please email summercamps@jcceastbay.org.
Can I see the Parent Handbook?
Yes! Camp Parent Handbook 2023.
What should my child bring to camp? And what about lunch and snacks?
Campers should bring a backpack with a non-perishable, nut-free, lunch, full water bottle, sunscreen, and a hat. A change of clothes and a light sweatshirt is always a good idea. Please label everything.
Snacks will be provided during camp and PM extended care, but your camper is welcome to bring additional snacks, if desired.
What type of training will staff receive?
Prior to camp, all staff will attend a week of in-person training of all policies and procedures, including age appropriate programming, health and safety related procedures, training in effective communication, building community, inclusive programming, and much more.
How many campers will be in each group?
Groups will be up to 16 campers, with 2-3 counselors at any given time.
Can we pick a friend for our camper to be with in a group?
Having friends at camp depends entirely on the registration and notice given – we will do our best to accommodate. Please email summercamps@jcceastbay.org with your request as soon as possible.
What about refunds?
For campers who enrolled for camp at the Berkeley site prior to March 17, and are no longer interested in attending at JM, full refunds (including full deposits) are available. Please email us at summercamps@jcceastbay.org to request your refund. Refunds will not be available after June 2, 2023. Until then all fees, less $100/week deposit, are fully refundable.
Will masks be required for all campers and counselors?
Camp will NOT be requiring masks this summer. Masks will be optional at all times, and up to the discretion of each camper. Camp reserves the right to require masking at any time if case rates increase significantly in our area.
