Older Adults Programs

The JCC East Bay is excited to carefully transition back to a select number of in-person programs for our older adult community.

More than anything, we are looking to understand how to best meet the needs of our older adult community as we start to bring back in-person programming.

Sukkot Luncheon
Tuesday, October 22
11:30am – 1:30pm
Cost: $20 per persom

Join us for a festive Sukkot lunch in the JCC East Bay sukkah. This is a great opportunity to connect and celebrate Sukkot with the community. A delicious Kosher meal will be provided. RSVP is required.

The Magnes: Stories of Migration
Thursday, November 14
1:30-3pm

The Magnes is opening their doors for a JCC East Bay Older Adult event! Join us to discuss what migration means to the Jewish people and learn about three historic, multicultural Torah Arks in Berkeley, CA. Registration is required.

Each month we invite you to join us at the JCC East Bay to enjoy lunch with your community! This is a BYOL (bring-your-own-lunch) with delicious dessert, coffee, and tea provided.

Weekly Groups

Intermediate Mah Jongg
Mondays
1 – 4pm

This group is for newer players or those wanting to practice playing in community. Join for good company and a delightful game of Mah Jongg!

This group is for experienced players or those wanting to sharpen their competitive edge. Join for tea and fierce games of Mah Jongg.

Yiddish Conversation
Wednesdays
10:30 – 11:30am

Participants will take turns reading various Yiddish passages aloud. Keep the art of the Yiddish language alive through laughter and connection!
