Come explore BAMPFA’s exhibition, What Has Been and What Could Be – a contemporary perspective of artworks that span multiple generations and geographies. This collection showcases a variety of historical and modern day art, such as 17th-century Japanese scrolls, 18th-century European paintings, 19th-century American landscapes and folk art, as well as mid-century abstract paintings, quilts, and conceptual art pieces.
