Shavuot

The JCC East Bay is excited to welcome you back to our building for this beloved community event!

Once again, in partnership with dozens of Bay Area synagogues and organizations, we will offer a day of community learning on the holiday of Shavuot.

For safety and security, event pre-registration is required.

VENUE
All classes will be held at the JCC East Bay on 1414 Walnut Street, Berkeley.

CLASS SCHEDULE
Shortly before the event, all pre-registered attendees will receive a schedule of classes emailed to the email address with which they registered.

SPACE FOR FAMILIES DURING OUR EVENT
The JCC East Bay will not be offering organized programming for families this year, however, our Preschool yard will be available for play time should families choose to bring their children. The yard will not be supervised, so we require that an adult stay with their child(ren). Local family-friendly organizations will be offering some drop-in activities between the hours of 3:30pm-5:30pm. Please respect and enjoy our space, recognizing that classes will be in session around the Preschool yard. Your cooperation in helping to keep children as quiet as possible is greatly appreciated.

In Your Words

“I so appreciate you and the part you played [in the Tikkun Leyl Shavuot]. It was rich, rewarding, inspirational and altogether amazing.”

“The way you amassed all the information, and displayed it in a way to make it both accessible and reminiscent of the JCC East Bay Tikkun in the past was just wonderful. Choosing, attending, and interactive participation in classes felt very similar to the in-person ones we’ve done in the past.. I am so grateful for all the work you and JCC staff did (even while sheltering) to maintain this exceptional institution in our community.”

"Thank you so much for your wonderful Shavuot programming! In just 3 hours, I was able to take fabulous classes, including how to run a Jewish Death Cafe, singing with a Jewish Priestess and meditating and deepening my Kabbalah knowledge with Torah of Awakening. Each class creatively engaged my intellect and soul simultaneously. Go look at their upcoming programs now for delightful opportunities to enrich your mind and soul!"
